We Love Dawn Blog Hop - Gran's Garden

I'm back again today for Day 4 of the weeklong We Love Dawn Blog Hop going on over at the Papertrey Ink blog. I've really been enjoying this time to celebrate Dawn, her courage and faith and her incredible talent also. If you visit the Papertrey Ink blog you will see all the details of just why we're doing this now.

Today I chose to work with one of the most charming floral stamp sets ever, Gran's Garden ...

Even though I ordered this set very soon after it was released, this is the first card that I've ever made with it. Yes, you heard right. I usually rush to use new sets, so happy to see them arrive at my house. But once in a while I receive a set that I think is so lovely that I dread to use it. Instead, I feel like hoarding it. As though the magic will disappear once I've actually stamped with it. Raise your hand if you think I'm strange, LOL!

It's easy to use and beautiful. Strong, stunning images. My favourites. I created a soft partial background using another Dawn design, Friendly Flowers. The leaves in that set are the most prettiest ones I own. I'll never get over them.

I'll be back tomorrow, hopefully, with another project honouring Dawn. We had a power outage for part of the day, not because of the weather but because of some work being done by the city, and I'm a bit behind now. I'll try my best.

  8. The pink Friendly Flowers leaves make such a great background for your flower cluster! Interesting that they work so well with the Gran's Garden set. Love your mix of colors.
