Papertrey Ink Make It Monday #166: Debossing Stamped Images (Fifth Post)

This week's inspiration over at Nichole Heady's blog:

And it's me, again! But I'm done now. Truly. This week's challenge, hosted by Dawn has been way too tempting for me and my housekeeping has been just a tad lackadaisical!

I've used the same layout for these last two cards, just changed up the stamps and patterned papers ...

Pink Card Supplies:

Cardstock: PTI Stamper's Select White, Sweet Blush; Creative Imaginations glittered cardstock
Stamps: PTI The Sweet Life, Ruby Rose
Inks: PTI Raspberry Fizz, Winter Wisteria, Simply Chartreuse, New Leaf; Versafine Onyx Black
Dies: PTI Rosie Posie; Lifestyle Crafts hearts
Other: Patterned Paper Lawn Fawn Let's Polka; Resin flower Webster's Pages; Flair unknown (I want to say it's American Crafts but it could be KI Memories; in any case, flair is my embellishment of choice - must be the scrapbooker in me!)

Yellow/Green Card Supplies:

Cardstock: PTI Stamper's Select White, Rustic White, Plum Pudding
Stamps: PTI The Sweet Life
Inks: PTI Raspberry Fizz, Winter Wisteria, Scarlet Jewel, Simply Chartreuse, New Leaf; Versafine Onyx Black

Papertrey Ink Make It Monday #166: Debossing Stamped Images (Fourth Post)

I promise you I am not trying to win MIM this week, since I was lucky enough to win last week :), but I'm just enjoying myself too much to stop! Blame Dawn.

I realize that I misspoke in my last post - it wasn't a Snowflake Medley card that DH pronounced passé, it was the snowflakes from Peace Be Still. I've decided to post it anyway, since I actually like it a little tiny bit.

Again, very simple. What do you think is on the inside of the card? It had to be ...

I'll try to control myself, but I'm not promising anything. I could be back here again before Sunday night!

Supplies:

Cardstock: PTI Stamper's Select White; Recollections glittered cardstock
Stamps: PTI Peace Be Still, Tremendous Treats: Christmas
Ink: PTI Classic Kraft; Versafine Onyx Black
Dies: PTI Peace Be Still

Papertrey Ink Make It Monday #166: Debossing Stamped Images (Third Post)

Somebody stop me! It's like eating popcorn, that's how addictive this technique is. And for some reason, Christmas and debossing are connected in my brain! I think so many stamp sets would produce incredible Christmas cards using this technique, but a bit too work intensive for mass production.

News flash: for those who didn't already know, I wish to inform you that snowflakes are déja vu. This according to my DH. I showed him a rough layout using Snowflake Medley for this technique and he said that snowflakes have been "done" and are déja vu. Huh? So I switched to my Snowflake Flurries set to give my card more of a modern spin, but I guess in his eyes this card is vintage/retro! The things that come out of the mouths of men!

Love that this card is so simple, but still special enough because of the debossing.

Supplies:

Cardstock: PTI Stamper's Select White, Ripe Avocado
Stamps: PTI Snowflake Flurries
Dies: PTI Snowflake Flurries
Ink: PTI Dark Chocolate
Other: sequins

Papertrey Ink Make It Monday #166: Debossing Stamped Images (Second Post)

Just had to do another project with this technique that Dawn McVey demonstrates (here). And I'll probably do another one later today, that's how much I like it.

Pulled out the dreaded Christmas stamps and dies and coloured these fun little tags ...

The debossing could be better (I did these tags before Suze gave me her most helpful tips), but after colouring the images, I wasn't doing them over!

Supplies:

Cardstock: PTI Stamper's Select White, Kraft
Stamps: PTI Tremendous Treats Christmas
Dies: PTI Tremendous Treats Christmas, Tag Sale #10
Other: Maya Road Silver Twine; Copics; Echo Park patterned paper

Papertrey Ink Make It Monday #166: Debossing Stamped Images

Love, love, love this challenge! It's being hosted by Dawn McVey, (here). I had never tried this technique before but now I want to do it on everything!

Since I didn't make a card for this month's Blog Hop (I chose to make a mini album), I decided on an aqua and melon colour combo. Plus I was in the mood for some colouring yesterday so I chose Doodlie-do and came up with this ...

A big thank you to Suze for cluing me in on how to get a good deboss, proving once again that I'm always learning something new from the stamping community.

Supplies:

Cardstock: PTI Stamper's Select White, Melon Berry, Smokey Shadow
Stamps: PTI Doodlie-do, Keep It Simple: Anniversary
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Dies: PTI Doodlie-Do, Wonderful Words: Birthday
Other: Copics

Papertrey Ink Make It Monday #165: Artsy Watercolor Backgrounds

This week's Make it Monday over at Papertrey, (here), was hosted by the fabulous Betsy Veldman.
There is no challenge more challenging to me than one involving watercolours! I am not a master of this technique, but I was so determined to try this week. Many cards were made and recycled. I'm only posting this one because I'm stubborn!

Supplies:

Cardstock: PTI Lemon Tart; Canson 140 lb. Watercolour paper
Stamps: PTI Ruby Rose, Bold Bouquet, Mini Blooms
Inks: PTI Harvest Gold, Berry Sorbet; Hero Arts Wet Cement; Versafine Onyx Black
Other: Jenni Bowlin button, crochet thread

Papertrey Ink May 2014 Blog Hop: Aqua and Melon

For this month's Blog Hop over at Papertrey, (here), Nichole Heady inspired us with this mood board:

Isn't it absolutely gorgeous?!! Since I haven't done one in about a year and a half, I decided to make a mini album. Once in a while, I like to scrap random photos that I've taken and put them all together; this time I decided to collect photos of all the things I'm really liking this spring. I made the big mistake of not deciding ahead of time how I would make it into an actual book; I had several different ideas floating around my brain but didn't want to commit. When everything was finished, I thought I would use a book ring but then I didn't have the nerve to cut into my layouts! So, instead, I used a Silhouette cut file to make a little magazine file box. I really like how it turned out!

And here is my little album, in detail. This post is super photo intensive, so just skip over the parts you're not interested in!

I just got PTI's Harlequin Cover Plate die and I love how it makes my cover look like a Chanel purse! This was a super fun project to put together; except for taking these photos! In real life everything looks so much prettier - even these photos look pretty in Photoshop - am so annoyed by what Blogger does to my pics!

PTI Supplies:

Cardstock: Stamper's Select White, Stamper's Select Vellum, Aqua Mist, Melon Berry
Stamps: Bold Bouquet, Rosie Posie
Inks: Aqua Mist, Melon Berry, Limeade Ice
Dies: Harlequin Cover Plate, Bold Bouquet, Rosie Posie, Heart Prints, Signature Series: Butterfly, Beautiful Butterflies, Simply Framed

Papertrey Ink Make It Monday #164: Cluster Stamped Sentiments

Heather Nichols is hosting this week's Make It Monday technique over at Papertrey Ink, (here). It's a fun idea and I decided to play along.

I chose to make a very simple card because (1) I'm sick AGAIN with my hundred and fortieth cold of the year! and (2) I thought the embellished sentiment should definitely be the star. I first embossed my sentiment with white detail powder, then stamped all around and on top of it with my heart stamps, and then simply wiped the excess ink from the sentiment with a Q-tip.

Love the way the sentiment becomes the design. Thought this would be a perfect anniversary card to my husband, with maybe a romantic little note inside reminiscing about our years together.

Supplies (all PTI except where noted):

Cardstock: Stamper's Select White
Stamps: Wet Paint II, Grand Ampersand (both the hearts and ampersand)
Inks: Lemon Tart, Horizon Gold, Summer Sunrise; Versafine Onyx Black
Stampendous Detail White embossing powder

Papertrey Ink Make It Monday #163: Envelope Wraps (Second Post)

I managed to do a second project for this weeks's MIM challenge over at Nichole Heady's blog, (here). Danielle Flanders did a great video, with beautiful envelopes and wraps, and really inspired me to try and make a pretty envelope. While I was at it, I also tried to make a pretty card. Warning: you may need your sunglasses for the rest of this post! (I was feeling in the mood for bright, springtime colours.)

Told you! I know that it's really BRIGHT!!! and flashy, but I kinda like it anyway. I used the PTI Diagonal Stripes Cover Plate to make my BRIGHT!!! Aqua Mist and Harvest Gold striped paper.

This is the actual envelope wrap. I used the PTI Heart Squared stamp set to create a box for an address/address label to be added. I'm very rigid about things like that. Sometimes I wish I wasn't, but there you are.

Here is the BRIGHT!!! card. You can stop laughing right about now.

And the finished card and envelope together. I didn't really stick the wrap completely around the envelope because I haven't decided yet who the lucky person to get this card will be.

Supplies:

Cardstock: PTI Stamper's Select White, Aqua Mist, Harvest Gold
Stamps: PTI The Sweet Life, Embellished Elegance, Heart Squared, Bold Bouquet Anniversary
Inks: PTI Aqua Mist, Harvest Gold, Lemon Tart, Summer Sunrise, Sweet Blush, Hibiscus Burst, Autumn Rose, New Leaf, Ripe Avocado; Versafine Onyx Black; Hero Arts Orange Soda; Fresh Inks Sugar, Pink Lemonade, Strawberry
Dies: PTI The Sweet Life, Embellished Elegance, Initial Thoughts, Diagonal Stripes Cover Plate; My Favorite Things Fishtail Flags Stax
Patterned Paper: PTI Distressed Dots (envelope)

Papertrey Ink Make It Monday #163: Envelope Wraps

Danielle Flanders did some drop-dead gorgeous envelopes and wraps for this week's Make It Monday over at Papertrey Ink (here).

I'm going to try and do another project for this week's challenge, but in the meantime I decided to make an envelope wrap for a card that I made (but never posted) for the Pretty Pink Posh Sequin Shaker Blog Hop. I used PTI's Big Ticket Basics die for my envelope wrap.

Of course I also had to make an envelope liner because they are my favourite things ever!

Supplies:

Cardstock: PTI Vintage Cream, Aqua Mist
Stamps: PTI Big Ticket Basics, Simply Framed, Keep It Simple: Birthday
Inks: PTI Enchanted Evening, Hawaiian Shores, Aqua Mist, Pure Poppy, Simply Chartreuse, Melon Berry, Harvest Gold
Dies: PTI Big Ticket Basics, A2 Envelope Liner; Simon Says Stamp Folded Banners; Spellbinders Circle; Lil Inkers Stitched Rectangles
Patterned Paper: October Afternoon
